Justice, Peace and Dominicans, 1216–2001
Edited by John Orme Mills OP
Questions of justice and of peace arise inexorably for the preacher.
This work shows how one group of preachers handled such questions over a time-span of 785 years. They integrated into the vocation of preaching the settling of civil disputes and reflecting on money-lending, defending indigenous peoples, developing theories of international law, opposing apartheid.
For these people, such actions and reflection were part of preaching.
